Jaycie Ganek (Kurfess) is the owner of Makeup by Jaycie. How did Jaycie get here you ask? After graduating from Elmhurst College with a degree in Business Art, Jaycie decided to pursue her passion for makeup and hair design. Jaycie attended Makeup First School of Makeup Artistry in Chicago and earned her state certificate as a professional makeup artist.

Flash forward to today; Jaycie has found her career taking off in ways she could have only hoped for years ago. Through her company, Makeup By Jaycie, among other accomplishments, Jaycie has worked on music videos with a national recording artists, television shows for companies such as ESPN, The Travel Channel, National Geographic’s, WTTW, MTV2 and WCIU. She’s earned “The Knots” Best Of Weddings and Wedding Wire’s “Couples Choice” awards several years in a row. Jaycie also freelances for Chicago’s very own NBC morning news. However, it won’t stop there, Jaycie’s talent and dedication will definitely see more awards and achievements in her near future.

Jaycie clearly has the talent and drive, but what makes her stand out from other makeup artists is her connection to her clients. Jaycie always makes her clients feel like they’ve known each other for years, even if they’ve just met; which makes it easy for the client to trust Jaycie and feel comfortable in her hands.

It doesn’t matter if Jaycie is working on the set of a movie or a bridal party; it’s all about her true passion to work with people and make those clients happy.
